Over £1250 raised for MacMillan

Over £1250 raised for MacMillan

With just a few days to recover from the notorious Glastonbury festival, Sophie Arnold (managing director) and Kate Lewis (Senior partner in our Wells Branch) took on the 26.2 mile Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike to raise money for MacMillan Cancer support.

A Marathon hike across uneven and undulating terrain is a challenge for most of us on the best of days, not to mention shortly after 5 days of experiencing everything Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts has to offer. But this wouldn't stop Sophie & Kate taking on the challenge for such a Worthy (see what we did there) cause.

6th July 2024 - Hike day

The route was a full marathon – 26.2 miles, 42 km - on the Gower Peninsular with a fair amount of ascent and decent so a reasonably gruelling day. Both completed in 7 hours and 50 mins and came in the top 10 of nearly 1000 starters.

We, at Sandersons, are focussed on supporting our community wherever we can – many of the staff are involved in all sorts of charitable fundraising from walking and running marathons to tough mudder challenges. There is a culture of giving back which we are all really proud of.

Congratulations to Sophie & Kate who have so far raised a combined total of over £1,250. There is still time to support their hiking efforts and donate to MacMillan Cancer Support via the JustGiving pages below:

If you own rental property in your personal name, this is your reminder. Making tax digital for income tax has been on the horizon for some time, yet many private landlords are still unclear on what it will mean in practice. With implementation dates now confirmed and thresholds set, this is the point where preparation needs to turn into action.

Here's our monthly round up of our favourite properties to come to the market in March.

Spring is one of the most popular times of year to sell your home. Longer days, brighter light and blooming gardens make properties look their best, while buyer activity naturally increases after winter. If you’re thinking about putting your home on the market this spring, a little preparation can go a long way.
