Transport
Herne Bay has a train station with direct links to London, Medway, North Kent, Dover, Ashford and Thanet. A high speed link to St. Pancras takes around an hour and 25 minutes.
Stagecoach operates a regular service from Herne Bay to Whitstable and Canterbury, known as 'the triangle.' A bus from Herne Bay takes around 35 minutes to Canterbury.
Nowhere is out of range in Herne Bay by road, with easy access to the Thanet Way, which takes you to either Thanet or towards the M2 and towards London. Herne Bay is a short drive from Canterbury, with a fairly direct route.

There is never a shortage of things to do in Herne Bay, with attractions for everyone. The variety of eating establishments, pubs, events, historic places and clubs means there is never a dull day. Not to mention the very accessible promenade for those days you want to breathe in some fresh, sea air.

Herne Bay High Street is ideal for browsing or window shopping, as well as being pedestrian friendly and lined with a variety of shops.
Together with the big names, you will also find a delightful blend of independent retailers, hairdressers and coffee shops. The market is held every Saturday from 8am-4pm.
