NEW How to Rent Guide issued

The Government has has just published a new 'How to Rent Guide' for tenants. The checklist provides tenants with a helpful insight into the process of renting a property. For landlords, it is critical this document is given to the tenants at the correct intervals before and during the tenancy to ensure compliance with current legislation.

The current minimum energy standard for private rental homes is an E rating. The proposal seeks to change this to a minimum of band C from 2028 for new tenancies and 2030 for existing tenancies. There are some exemptions and spending caps being consulted on so now is the time to have your say.
