Signs of Life!
Here at Sandersons, we fully embrace this hopeful and vibrant new season, where colour and warmth enter our lives once more. For many, spring is the perfect time to look at your home and make some exciting changes. These don't have to be costly, but they can transform your living space and be that reflection of hope for sunnier days to come.

Hot Spring Trends
Sandersons' exclusive Top 6 Spring interior trends are ...

Let The Light In
Open plan living allows us to move with more fluidity around our living spaces, and 2022 is seeing a huge rise in the trend of opening homes up to be as light and airy as possible. This space saver idea is great for managing families in, and can still have specific zones for eating, working or exercising incorporated into it.

Having an open plan space encourages a social aspect to your home life, and if you are forever multi tasking, the layout will definitely be a winner for you.

Shades of Green
Green is the ultimate stand out colour trend this spring. From sage to olive, and eucalyptus to mint, these naturally-inspired tones have catapulted their way back into our desires, as more and more people crave the calm and serenity of green.

The past few years have seen us all spend more time in our homes, and that has led us to want to invite nature into our environments. Simple, yet elegant tones are set to be the foundation of many interior designs and will be the neutral that anchors the styling of space.

Deep, Dark Office Space
Dark academia is going to be huge this season. Aesthetically, the concept takes its cues from old academic institutions, with lots of deep natural colours and blocks of books on display.
There is a distinct and earthy aroma of old paper in the air as we even think about it – with vintage and antique treasures alike coming together in a way that only old English country studies can exude. Your office space will be cultured rather than cluttered, as you assemble a literature inspired space to work in.

Big and Bold Country Living
As a home is fondly a representation of our personality, spring 2022 is allowing the boldest characters to reflect into their living spaces, with bold patterns and prints. With over a 300% jump in the search for maximalist interior design Google searches at the end of 2021, people are getting brave with their choices.

Geometrics and stripes can finally unite in style this season, as the bigger and bolder, the better. There are no rules when it comes to maximum décor, so the sky is the limit. The question is, how brave are you?

Less is More
Whilst our walls are bright and our door space is light, there is an encouraging trend to be mindfully organised this season. People are crying out for clear and uncluttered organisation which we believe stems from all that thinking time we have had for the past few years! Finally, we are able to clear out anything that no longer serves us, or that creates a cluttered mind.

People are reinventing ways to store things, as things like floating shelves we up in sales by 67% last year and really making efficient use to wall space in order to keep a clearer floor.

Remember – interior changes are all about the unique blend of personal choice and what beautiful things you can do with the space you have.
