Case Study: Castlebrook House, Compton Dundon

Case Study: Castlebrook House, Compton Dundon

This exceptional farmhouse failed to sell after being marketed by two other agents for over two years. What did our partner office in Somerset do differently to achieve a sale?

Castlebrook House is an exceptional 4/5 bedroom farmhouse, along with a 4 bedroom cottage run as a successful holiday let. The vendors initially marketed the property with an agent for 18 months with no interest. They were also unsuccessful with a second agent after another 11 months on the market.

When the owners approached Sandersons UK, we reimagined the marketing to transform how the property was presented with aerial photographs and changes to the particulars. Previous agents marketed the property as a 9 bedroom home, we listed the property as a 4/5 bed with annexe to highlight the flexibility of the space. We secured a buyer within the same guide price as the previous agents. The property went under offer within one month and the sale completed three months later.
