Landlord live webinar on the Renters Rights Bill: Recording available

You've hopefully seen our previous blogs and videos sharing the proposed details of the Renters Rights Bill which is set to be the biggest change the Private Rental Sector (PRS) has seen since the Housing Act 1988. On 29/04/25 we held our first live webinar going into more detail about the changes, plus potential impact on tenants and landlords.

Background
The Renters Rights Bill was first introduced to parliament in September 2024 and has progressed rapidly through the Commons into the House of Lords. The bill proposed by the labour government is "intended" to create a fairer PRS by giving tenants more flexibility in their contract through abolishing Section 21 notices and fixed term tenancies as all agreements (new & existing) transition to monthly Periodic overnight. There are other changes including making contractual upfront rent (exceeding 1 month) a prohibited payment, more lenient acceptance of pets in lets, landlord database and ombudsman, banning rent bidding and so much more. If you would like to know further details about any of the above in more detail, pop the kettle on and click the link below to access the full webinar and link to the slides.
