Online agents promise a quick and easy sale, but selling property isn't usually straightforward.

On Finn Farm Road in Ashford, the owners of this beautifully designed home were looking to move. Thinking the sale would be easy they instructed an online agent, but things didn't go to plan...

Located in the popular Bridgefield area of Ashford, this beautifully presented three bedroom family home had been renovated throughout by the owner to provide a comfortable and contemporary living space. The interiors were modern throughout with features including wall panelling, engineered wood flooring and a free-standing bath.

Enticed by their cheap fee, the vendor initially instructed Purplebricks to market their property. The property was listed using a few snaps from the estate agents phone and a basic description, not the way a property with interiors as beautiful as this should be represented. After four months and no offers, the vendors decided they needed a change. Unfortunately, with Purplebricks upfront payment this did mean that they were left out of pocket.

They approached us after seeing our marketing of another property locally. Our photographer transformed the way the property looked, capturing magazine worthy photographs to highlight the interior design. They used a mix of natural and artificial lighting to make the rooms look bright and natural. The previous agent relied on available lighting within the property, which made the rooms look dark with a yellow hue. Our description was full of life and gave a great idea of what the property felt like, we also included key information about local schools and transport.

We had six viewings arranged just a week after launching the property. A sale was also agreed at full asking price less than two weeks after launching. The quality of our marketing meant we had much more interest in the property than the previous agent. Unfortunately the initial sale did fall through, but as we had so much initial interest, one of the other viewers was keen to purchase the property and the vendor agreed a sale with them swiftly.

The vendor was kind enough to leave us a review on google.

'I have never left a review for anything before but I feel as though Joe Galton’s hard work deserves to be recognised.
He was very professional and knowledgeable throughout the process of selling our house with Sandersons. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sandersons.' ★★★★★
